First-Year Application Support
Applying to Universities Around the World
Who are you?
You may be in your final year or two of secondary school (high school) or, you're in a gap year or doing national service. In between juggling all of your commitments, you are trying to figure out who you are -- and who you want to become in whatever your future will look like. You may have interacted with many cultures in your childhood and are about to launch into the world, away from your family as an independent young person. Or, you are excited to move to a new region of your country, to expand your life experiences.
The college or university admissions process highlights all of these elements of your journey of self-discovery. You may ask yourself: What am I good at? What are my strengths and skills? Where might I want to live and study or work? What will set me up for success after earning my degree? It's a lot to think about! (And I've been on this journey with thousands of teenagers over the years).
Who am I?
I've worked with adolescents for decades, as they ask and try to answer these questions. After over 15 years as a high school counselor in international environments, I can provide expertise in the university admissions processes in dozens of countries around the world. Through coaching, I can help you reflect on how this process can start you on the path to being your best future self. Our conversations will focus on your strengths, your aspirations and the concrete steps needed to get to where you want to be.
How will we work together?
You can opt in to any of College Consulting packages that suit your needs at this time, from an intensive series of essay-coaching sessions, to working alongside you throughout your application cycle/s (in 3, 6 or 12 session packages). I provide targeted support to go along with the advice you are receiving from your school counselor, or can guide you step-by-step if you are no longer in high school. I will be your cheerleader, your guide and that sometimes-annoying auntie who will remind you to stay on track with your plan and deadlines!

Transfer Application Support
Moving from your Current College/University
Who are you?
You are a college/university student who has already passed through the gauntlet of first-year university applications to get into your current institution. Now, whether you are in your first semester or second year, you're wondering if this was the right fit for you, and considering moving to another institution to complete your undergraduate studies. You know what you want (and don't want!), and may need to spread your wings a bit and challenge yourself in a new direction or course of study. You already know how to schedule meetings with professors, request documents from different campus offices, and research university application requirements. Because of all of these learning experiences, you are ready to check if your current coursework will be transferrable, manage your time around the application season, your classes and your co-curricular commitments. You've talked about your reasons for transferring with your family and you know that this will be easier this time around, as you've already applied once (successfully!).
Who am I?
I've worked with adolescents for decades, supporting students through their initial and transfer applications to universities around the world. In that time, I have edited thousands of essays, collaborated with hundreds of university admissions representatives, and attended yearly trainings to keep updated on the latest trends. I bring years of knowledge and experience as a college counselor, but as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) I can also help you think through your goals and dreams, to imagine how this next step will help you on your path to who you want to become in the world.
How will we work together?
You can opt in to any of the College Consulting packages that suit your needs at this time, from an intensive series of essay-coaching sessions, to working alongside you throughout your application cycle (in 3, 6 or 12 session packages). We'll meet over Zoom for about an hour each session, in your time zone, around your schedule: that is, you choose when my support can help you the most, given your current workload and commitments. You're an independent young adult now, so you can set the timings that make sense for you and put you on track to meet your deadlines.
Since you no longer have a school counselor at your side, I provide targeted support for you to create and stick to a timeline to meet your deadlines, direct you to sites and resources to help with your research, and remind you to follow-through with the steps you need to take on campus. We'll usually message on WhatsApp or text to confirm our meeting times, and stay in touch between sessions across time zones via Google Docs and email.
